ARI # : 846934
DOB : 4-29-2003
Color : True Black
Sire : PCA Accoyo Goliath
Dam : Ms. Rosie O’Grady
Goliath’s Mercedes

It won’t be easy to talk us out of this girl. Every time we saw her at a show we begged Leslie Loveless of Sierra Bonita Alpacas to sell her to us. Finally, she gave in and said yes.

Mercedes’ jet black, spotless fleece and perfect conformation won her top ribbons every time she walked into the show ring.

First Place & Color Champion   TxOLAN 2004
Second Place   GWAS Denver 2004 (youngest in a class of 14)
Third Place   Salt Lake City 2004
Third Place   AOBA 2004

Mercedes is bred to Crescent Moon’s Titan, the AOBA Black Color Champion 2004, for a Fall 2006 cria. We couldn’t think of any better genetics to put together for what promises to be a spectacular cria.

We just love looking at this female. She stands so beautifully and is so correct it is easy to pick her out in a crowd of other black alpacas.

She has lovely black fleece with toe to nose coverage, great legs and even bite.

Bred to La Buena Vida's Secret, who shears nearly 10 lbs of award winning fleece annually, you can not loose with this Queen in your deck of cards.

Annuity

ARI # : 30678811
DOB : 2-4-2007
Color : True Black
Sire : La Buena Vida's Secret
Dam : La Buena Vida's Silhouette
Annuity

The attitude and grace are what it takes to win in the show ring and boy does this girl have that!

Annuity is the true black daughter of La Buena Vida's Silhouette and La Buena Vida's Secret.

Her snooty attitude may come from her mom but her lovely fleece is definitely influenced by her dad.

We love her, but will the judges? We'll be showing this girl for the first time at the NM State Fair, Sept. 2007. If you're there, come take a closer look at Annuity and friends.

Annuity is an open maiden but comes with a free breeding to any of La Buena Vida's herdsires.

We expect great things from her in 2008.

Her father, Crescent Moon's Titan was the 2004 AOBA Black Color Champion and her mom, Esperanza has tons of grey in her background.

We hope Bouquet of Grey continues her winning ways.

Color : White
Sire : Kokopelli's Sundance

Chinook makes me wish I had a reason to keep a white girl in my breeding program. She is "bright white" with a beautiful head and nice staple length.

Chinook's first histogram showed AFD 18.9, SD 4.9, CV 25.9, >30 2.9%.

Her dam Shavano, even at age 8, has a histogram showing MFD 23.5, SD 4.6, CV 19.2, >30 6.0 and it has a very nice handle. Shavano is a good mother and a dependable producer. Her last cria is an award winning TB male.

Chinook has been exposed to Pinnacle & El Maestro for a Spring 2008 cria. Regardless of the Sire, Chinook's first cria is sure to be fantastic.

Her first cria, La Buena Vida's Monolith is a MSG male sired by Equinox Eternix. We are very excited to get this boy in the show ring and see if the Judges think he is as good as we do.

Kahlua is now bred to La Buena Vida's Sterling Perfection, our spotless MSG male out of El Maestro. Sterling is the award winning grandson of General Schwarzkopf and as many breeders know, this is an extremely rare and valued bloodline.

Kenosha is now bred to La Buena Vida's Sweet Success, our ½ Peruvian LRG herdsire, who's age 4 histogram is MFD - 16.7, SD - 3.2, CV - 18.7, <30 - 0.5.

Kenosha's price has increased as she nears her September 2007 due date. She will be removed from our Price List six weeks prior to her due date.

This girl has very fine bay black fiber with good coverage and excellent conformation. She Placed 4th in her class at AOBA 2003.

Silhouette has given us 2 magnificent males, Friendship and Satisfaction Guarenteed. We liked Satisfaction so much we did it again. Silhouette is been bred to Secret, who shears 10 lbs of Award winning fiber, for a Spring 2007 cria.

This Medium Fawn male should be a perfect compliment to this General Schwarzkopf granddaughter.

Platinum's Shavano

ARI # : 813058
DOB : 6-19-1999
Color : Medium Brown
Sire : Peruvian Platinum
Dam : QAI Velvet ImportC98
Platinum's Shavano

At age 8, Shavano's histogram is MFD 23.5, SD 4.6, CV 19.2, >30 6.0 and has a very nice handle. Shavano is a good mother and a dependable producer.

When we bought her she had a beautiful bright white female cria (Chinook) at her side. Shavano has good bone and great fiber and I liked the male she was bred to, A.L. Paca's Ranger, an award winning MRG herdsire. That union gave us Relentless, a gorgeous true black male who's already winning ribbons for us.

She is now bred to El Maestro for density, crimp and color. El Maestro has already produced blue ribbon winning crias in colors from grey to black to brown.

La Buena Vida's Bessame

ARI # : 832573
DOB : 11-29-2001

Sire : Dom Lucilio
Dam : DWLA Abigail
La Buena Vida's Bessame

At the age of six months and 1 day, Bessame placed 3rd in a class of 17 at the AOBA 2002 National Show. We are pleased to say she placed 2nd in her class at the 2003 National Conference and her fabulous fiber took a 1st Place ribbon at the 2005 AOBA Fleece Show.

Bessame (Kiss Me in Spanish) is named for a whisp of white on her chin and lips. She inherited from her mother strong black genes, large bones & straight conformation. From her Sire, Dom Lucilio, she received dense, crimpy fleece and she sheared 13 pounds of fleece in 2004. Add to this her sweet talkative nature and you have a near perfect alpaca. We consider Bessame one of our top females. She is bred to Crescent Moon's Titan true black 2004 AOBA Color Champion, and we can hardly wait to see the results.

The Last Rose is special to us.

Her sire, Peruvian Olympus has too many award winning cria to list here.

Her first show resulted is a Blue Ribbon and Reserve Color Championship and her second show, 2007 AOBA National Show resulted in a 5th place ribbon.

Sweet Mesquite

ARI # : 30360655
DOB : 6-7-2006
Color : True Black
Sire : MFI Black Mesquite

Sweet Mesquite

Named for her incredible father MFI Black Mesquite, AOBA Color Champion, we bought her mom MFI Lenurra at the 2005 auction at Magical Farms. Lenurra went on to win a Blue Ribbon and Reserve Color Champion at their Futurity.

We thought so much of Sweet Mesquite that we took her mom to breed to Eternal Flame, son of MFI Black Mesquite, who's fine, bright, crimpy fleece knocked my socks off.

Sweet Mesquite is an open maiden but comes with a free breeding to any of La Buena Vida's herdsires.
